Client:

UniLodge

Project type:

Tour Videos and Fly Throughs

Challenge

UniLodge wanted to refresh its brand storytelling ahead of Semester 1, 2026, with content that captured the energy, warmth, and diversity of its student community. The objective was to show prospective residents that UniLodge isn’t just accommodation, it’s a home made for students, by people who understand them. The challenge was to produce an entire suite of high-quality, social-ready videos across multiple formats in a short timeframe, maintaining an authentic, student-centred voice.

Project outline and strategy:

Our team proposed a two-day on-location shoot in Melbourne, filming across 7 properties across the city to showcase as many of UniLodge’s unique facilities as possible, and using real UniLodge residents as the talent.

We worked closely with the UniLodge marketing team to align messaging, source student talent, and plan shots that showcased key lifestyle touchpoints, from shared kitchen moments to competitive pool matches.

Real students. Authentic voices drive trust and relatability.

Connection and community. Showing UniLodge as a place where students feel at home.

Everyday life, elevated. Bright, modern visuals that highlight the best of UniLodge.

Creative Direction

Our creative approach was designed to feel upbeat and relatable, a reflection of the everyday rhythm of student life. We used:

Light, funny scripts which were easy to memorise, letting our student talent relax, riff and laugh with one another, leading to authentic moments caught on camera.

Punchy whip pans and crash zooms to capture attention on social media.

Quick cuts to showcase the breadth and depth of UniLodge’s offerings in under 30 seconds.
