While many Australian students progress from South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) into leading universities, SACE International sought to build greater recognition of this modern, internationally-recognised qualification overseas. The task was to communicate SACE’s value through authentic student experiences in a way that felt relatable, credible and emotionally resonant.
Insider Studios created a series of student-led video stories - one for audiences in Vietnam, one for China. The aim was to let real student voices carry the message - why they chose SACE, how it supported them academically, and where it has taken them next.
We shot across multiple real-world locations in Adelaide to reflect student life, study environments and city lifestyle. The final videos and supporting assets were designed for deployment across SACE’s global marketing channels: website, social media (including LinkedIn), offshore direct marketing, and international recruitment events.
The video series was built around consistent narrative themes:
SACE creates opportunity - a globally recognised qualification that opens pathways to higher education.
Support and belonging - students feel supported academically and socially during their transition.
SACE is the beginning of a bigger future - the qualification is a stepping stone, allowing students to reach their dream career.
The creative style was warm and optimistic, designed to communicate confidence and authenticity. Key decisions included:
Testimonial-led storytelling that prioritised the student’s own voice and experience
Cinematic b-roll and lifestyle footage.
Youth-oriented pacing, modern editing and visually-appealing styling to ensure resonance with international student audiences.
Subtitles and caption-ready edits to support offshore distribution and accessibility.
